Every Young Voice deserves to feel extraordinary.

OK2BX Foundation lifts youth voices through storytelling, creativity, kindness, diversity and inclusivity. Our work is rooted in the belief that empathy grows when young artists have the space to tell the stories only they can tell.

Mission + Vision

What OK2BX stands for.

Mission

Empathy through story.

We empower diverse communities through arts, education and cultural experiences, fostering kindness, understanding, and acceptance.

We recognize that our shared humanity is the commonality that unites us all.

We encourage every person to be unapologetically themselves and to accept others as such.

We celebrate the differences that make each of us extraordinary.

Vision

A more compassionate world.

A world where every young person feels extraordinary and where storytelling inspires greater compassion, inclusion, and connection.

Our Core Values

How we show up for young people and one another.

Acceptance

We celebrate differences. We strive to create a culture of acceptance and understanding within our organization, and within communities and circles in which we live, work, and play.

Kindness

We lead with kindness. We believe that kindness is powerful and can make a difference in our homes, our communities, and in the world.

Respect

We honor the dignity and worth of each person. We believe that treating others with respect is the foundation of acceptance and understanding.

Empathy

We recognize that no two people view the world the same way. We practice empathy as a way to build meaningful connections with each other and strengthen our community.

Inclusivity

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment. We strive to create a safe space where individuals can bring their whole selves, free from judgement.

Fun

We promote a culture of fun. We encourage everyone to take part in activities that bring joy and laughter.

Eleanor’s Story

A foundation built from love, kindness and courage.

Eleanor Bolding was a daughter, sister and friend to many. Every day before she and her siblings, Carson and Spencer, headed out to school, their dad would say, “It’s Okay to Be Extraordinary!”

The family motto was repeated so many times, it was eventually shortened to, “OK2BX.”

Eleanor fearlessly talked about her beliefs. In a world where it is all too common to call people out, she called people in. When she walked into a room, she made sure everyone felt comfortable and was heard and respected.

OK2BX was founded in 2021 by her parents, Chris and Brent, to honor Eleanor’s legacy. The foundation embodies her spirit by lifting young voices and encouraging stories rooted in kindness, empathy, diversity and inclusivity.
