OUR STORY

Eleanor Bolding was a daughter, sister and friend to many. Every day before she and her siblings, Carson and Spencer, headed out to school, their dad would say, “It’s Okay to Be Extraordinary!”

The family motto was repeated so many times, it was eventually shortened to, “OK2BX.”

When she was seventeen years old, just four months after she told her family she was transgender, Eleanor died by suicide – a devastating blindside to her family, friends and community.

Eleanor fearlessly talked about her beliefs. In a world where it’s all too common to call people out, she called everyone in. When she walked into a room, she made sure everyone felt comfortable, and was heard and respected. She loved talking to people she didn’t agree with in hopes of broadening their perspectives. Mostly, she filled the world with kindness.

OK2BX was founded in 2021 by her parents, Chris and Brent, to honor Eleanor’s legacy. The foundation embodies her spirit.
